Meggi Hetzel

Meggi Hetzel is a broadcast journalist and sideline reporter currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. Meggi previously worked for the University of Alabama Athletics with Crimson Tide Productions and SEC Network/ ESPN Platforms. In her role she had the opportunity to cover several college football playoff games including the 2018 National Championship game, SEC Championships, and the ESPN College Football Hall of Fame Awards to name a few. In addition to her sideline experience for football, Meggi routinely covers soccer, gymnastics, basketball and baseball for SEC Network and ESPN Platforms. 

Prior to her time in Tuscaloosa, she worked as a sideline reporter for ESPN3 covering Kennesaw State University athletics and worked at CNN & HLN for Bleacher Report. Meggi graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a focus in Media, Sports and Entertainment Studies. Aside from her time spent covering various sporting events, Meggi enjoys great food and wine as she has grown up in her family’s restaurant business. Meggi currently resides in Buford, Georgia with her dog Scout and boyfriend Jake.
